New Senators in the 48th Parliament

An FP Explainer

The 48th Parliament is sitting for the first time this week.

At the federal election held in May, 40 Senators faced election. This included half of all state Senators and all Territory Senators.

There are nine new Senators in Parliament, including one Member of Parliament who has moved to the Senate.

To help with getting to know them, we’ve pulled together a table with a list of the new Senators, where they are from, their party and link to further information and contact details.
